As the sun sets and the fireflies emerge, you’ll learn about their fascinating life cycle and behavior and discover why they are an important part of our local ecosystem.
This Last Saturday on the Trail program will feature a talk about the preserve’s history, the firefly’s lifecycle, and an advanced viewing of the preserve before Peak Season begins.

Due to recent changes in our Sanctuary policies, we will now implement a registration fee for all visits to the Firefly Sanctuary. This fee is necessary to support the Sanctuary’s upkeep, staffing, and materials during our Peak Season. We are committed to maintaining the delicate balance of the Sanctuary’s ecosystem and ensuring every visit is memorable and impactful.
