Join the New Canaan Nature Center’s new Senior Naturalist, Frank Gallo, for a series of birding and nature walks. On three Spring outings, Frank will guide visitors around area preserves, and open spaces. Along the way, he will discuss the area’s natural history, pointing out birds, plants, and other species. These easy to moderate-level walks provide a great opportunity to learn about local parks, meet new people, and get outdoors.
Series Schedule:
April – Thursday, 4/21/22 at the Silvermine-Fowler Preserve – Early Spring migrants, vernal pools, and spring wildflowers
May – Wednesday, 5/4/22 at the Watson-Symington Preserve – Warblers and other migrants
June – Thursday, 6/9/22 at the New Canaan Nature Center and GreenLink – Late migrants and spring ephemerals
All walks will begin at 10am and last until approximately 12pm.
Registration is $10. Walks will be held in light rain. Registrants will be notified if the hike is cancelled due to rain.
