We are delighted by your interest in the Legacy of the Land Gala, a celebration of the New Canaan Land Trust and a heartfelt tribute to Chris Schipper.
This year, Chris will be honored for his extraordinary dedication to the Land Trust and our community. From protecting open spaces and creating over 6.5 miles of hiking trails, to revitalizing Bristow Bird Sanctuary – the third-oldest bird sanctuary in the U.S. – and advancing conservation initiatives as former Chair of the New Canaan Conservation Commission, Chris’s impact is felt throughout town. He will receive the Jack Gunther Legacy Award, recognizing his leadership and lasting contributions.
