Last Saturday on the Trail: Forest Bathing

Last Saturday on the Trail: Forest Bathing
Date & Time: September 27th, 10 AM
Location: Still Pond / Fowler Reserve
Rooted in the Japanese practice of shinrin-yoku, or “forest bathing,” invites you to slow down and immerse yourself in the sights, sounds, and sensations of the forest. Unlike traditional mindfulness, which emphasizes intentional presence without judgment, forest bathing encourages gentle noticing—tuning into your surroundings with curiosity rather than evaluation.
Meet at the Stillpond/Fowler Silvermine Preserve parking lot, across from 778 Silvermine Road at 10am. We’ll walk a one-mile trail to Hicks Meadow and return the same way, for a total of approximately two miles. Sturdy footwear is essential. We recommend applying bug spray in the parking lot before we begin.
